About the Clinic
CareVets Oratia is a well-established companion animal practice in the heart of the welcoming Oratia community. We’re a progressive clinic with an extended surgical caseload and a strong focus on nurse consults, including Class IV veterinary laser treatments.

About the Role
This is a part-time Veterinary Nurse / Receptionist role (approximately 25 hours per week), with the potential to increase as the clinic grows. 

While this role is primarily front-of-house, a Veterinary Nursing qualification is required as there will be times you’ll jump in to support the clinical team, assist with nurse consults, and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. 

  • Providing outstanding client service and reception support
  • Creating warm, positive client experiences from the moment they walk through the door
  • Supporting vets and nurses with day-to-day clinic operations
  • Assisting with nurse consults and clinical support when needed
  • Helping contribute ideas as the clinic continues to grow and improve  

About You 

We’re looking for someone who is: 

  • A qualified Veterinary Nurse (minimum 3+ years’ experience preferred)
  • Confident in a client-facing or reception environment
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys working with both animals and people
  • A positive team player who is flexible, open-minded, and willing to jump in wherever needed
  • Comfortable working independently as well as within a team
  • Experience with Vision software is a bonus, but not essential
