In this one day workshop, attendees will engage in a multifaceted exploration of nursing complex cases, with a focus on advanced monitoring techniques. Participants will gain valuable insights into recumbent care and pain management.

In addition to these critical components of nursing complex cases, the workshop will also provide a comprehensive examination of nutritional support. Participants will learn how to assess and meet the nutritional needs of patients with complex medical conditions, ensuring their overall well-being and recovery.

Description

In this practical workshop, participants will build on their knowledge from the fundamentals course. A case based approach to nursing complex cases including advanced monitoring, recumbent care, multimodal pain management and nutritional support.

Key Skills:

At the end of this workshop delegates should be able to:

  • Advanced patient monitoring including EGC’s and blood gases to guide patient treatment
  • Administration of blood products to cats and dogs.
  • Managing the recumbent patient
