Boehringer Ingelheim’s industry survey showed that veterinary nurses face workforce challenges different to those of their veterinarian colleagues. A snapshot of the survey results were presented to the profession at a breakfast panel hosted by Boehringer Ingelheim, at the June NZVA and NZVNA Conference in Christchurch. NZVNA President Laura Harvey highlighted that for veterinary nurses, those challenges involve proper remuneration, career progression and support in the workplace.
